Re-Location and Upgrade to Purpose Built Facilities

The Technology…

TD Finishing designed, supplied and installed the following purpose0built facilities for our customer, a UK appliance manufacturer based in Exeter. With the re-location and upgrade to purpose-built facilities, our customer took their production output to new heights. But none of this would have been possible without the implementation of cutting-edge technology.

Drying Line – Drying Oven and Conveyor.  This line is used for drying parts from the customer’s existing  offline pre-treatment system, from the re parts are transferred to either line 1 (wet paint) or line 2 (powder paint).

Line 1 – Wet Paint System.  Consisting of heavy duty conveyor, double wet paint spray booths arrangement, paint flash off enclosure and high temperature oven.

Line 2 – Powder Coating Line.  Heavy duty conveyor, manual powder booth and powder cure oven.


How It All Works…

The heart of the operation lies in the drying line, wet paint system, powder coating line, heavy-duty conveyor, manual powder booth, and powder cure oven. This state-of-the-art machinery work seamlessly together to ensure a smooth and efficient finishing plant, production process.

✅ The drying line ensures that every surface is thoroughly dried before moving on to the next stage. This eliminates any risk of moisture causing defects in the final product.

✅ The wet paint system allows for precise application of liquid paint onto surfaces with exceptional accuracy and consistency. It ensures an even coat every time, resulting in a flawless finish.

✅ In conjunction with the wet paint system is the powder coating line. This innovative technology uses electrostatic charge to apply dry powder coatings onto surfaces. The result is a durable and high-quality finish that exceeds industry standards.

✅ To facilitate the movement of products throughout the facility, our customer invested in a heavy-duty conveyor system. This robust equipment can handle large loads while maintaining speed and efficiency.

✅ For more intricate projects or touch-ups, we installed a manual powder booth where skilled operators can apply coatings by hand. This level of attention to detail guarantees impeccable results for each individual item.

✅ All painted items are sent through a top-of-the-line powder cure oven. With precise temperature controls and uniform heat distribution, it ensures proper curing for maximum durability and longevity.
